Overseas visitors

Villa CP is a luxury eco-villa in the centre of the Gavarres National Park, an ancient oak forest. It's a short drive from the mediterranean coast, in northern Spain, and well connected with international airports.

This part of Catalonia, between the medieval city of Girona and the pretty Costa Brava beaches, is famous for its ancient history, cultural and musical festivals, picturesque old villages, unspoilt nature, beautiful cycling and walking routes, fabulous wines and, of course, wonderful gastronomy served in some of the highest-ranked restaurants in Europe or the world.

Local life in Catalonia

Catalan people are friendly and love to make you feel welcome as a visitor. Our local farmers' markets are a great way to mix with the locals. Buy your fresh fruit and vegetables, maybe add some fresh fish or local sausages, then sit down on the terrace of the café in the market square with a cool drink while you decide what to cook when you get home. Now you're really living like a local.

International airports

  • Girona (GRO), 20 minutes by car
  • Barcelona (BCN), 75 minutes
  • Perpignan (PGF), 90 minutes
  • Reus (REU), 2 hours

You can rent cars at all the airports, from Avis, Hertz and various local companies.

It's Spain, but it's also Catalonia.

Catalonia is a wealthy region in the north east of Spain, close to the French border. Girona is an elegant medieval city just 20 minutes away from Villa CP. Its romantic old town has winding streets with nice little shops and restaurants.

There are several sandy beaches a short drive away. For day trips all around the region, Villa CP is well located. A day trip to Barcelona, just over an hour away, could include visits to Gaudi's famous Sagrada Familia cathedral, the Camp Nou football stadium, the Picasso museum or Miro foundation set in lovely Montjuic park, for example.

Just north of Girona is Figueres, with its extraordinary Dalí museum - you could combine it with a trip to the seaside village of Cadaqués or the little village of Pubol, near Villa CP, two very different sites where the artist lived and worked.

You'll find little fishing villages and pretty beaches along the Costa Brava coast. You can fly in a hot air balloon or rent a bicycle or e-bike and discover the cycle routes. There are several top golf courses within a short drive including the PGA Golf Catalunya, just 20 minutes way.

Please visit our 'Map' page to see where Villa CP is in relation to Girona, Barcelona, the nearby beaches and the region of Catalonia, in Spain.
